Il est né à Florence en 1956 d'une grande famille d'artisans bijoutiers et sculpteurs sur bois. Il a construit ses premières guitares en 1976 sous la direction de son maître argentin Ricardo Branè.Il a depuis rencontré à travers le monde les principaux luthiers de notre temps. Son travail et son inspiration demeurent guidés par tradition et technique. Il vit à Florence où il a son propre atelier, via Monteoliveto 20.
